Founding Director - Chief of Operations

This is Adam, our local high country boy with a pragmatic attitude and love for both producing and cooking delicious home grown food.

After spending 15 years in the automotive industry, Adam reignited his love for producing food through aquaculture, before discovering his passion for mycology.

Adam is looking forward to combining his talents for fabrication, communication (loves a chat) and food production to build Markwood Mushrooms into a sustainable family friendly business that is kind to our planet.

Seriously though Adam loves a chat, so don’t be shy and be sure to say hey if you see him about!

John Ward

Founding Director - Chief of Technology

Hailing from Melbourne, John is a Data Scientist with over 30 years experience in predictive analytics, statistics and artificial intelligence. 

John’s passion for food, the way it’s consumed and how it impacts the environment are core motivators for John when it comes to mushrooms. 

 

But what can a Data Scientist bring to mushrooms?

John believes that artificial intelligence can be applied to achieve greater reliability and consistency when using traditional mycology techniques to grow gourmet mushrooms.

John is brimming with excitement and positivity as we start this new venture and is the visionary at the heart of team Markwood Mushrooms.

Emma Beauchamp

Founding Director - Chief of Marketing

Emma Beauchamp is a photographer, designer, and the creative force behind Markwood Mushrooms' website and social media. With a background deeply rooted in the hospitality industry — having worked extensively in cafés and restaurants — she’s a self-confessed foodie with a sharp eye for aesthetics.

 

Emma is dedicated to getting the perfect shot, often to the dismay of Adam and the team, as she chases the best light and angles. Her passion for sustainable food production is matched only by her flair for style — because who says you can't look good while supporting local, eco-friendly produce? Known for changing her hair colour as often as the seasons shift, Emma brings creativity, energy and a bold sense of individuality to everything she does.
